JM Wood Auction held a big three-day auction June 13 to 15 for construction equipment, trucks, agricultural and forestry machines at its headquarters facility in Montgomery, Ala. Consignors included Alabama Power Company, B and G Rental and Supply, Joe McGee Construction and numerous municipalities.

Highlights of the sale included a 2014 Cat 815F Series II, which was sold online to a customer in Ohio $295,000, and 2015 Kenworth T800 dump trucks, which sold online for $156,000 to a contractor from Northern California

"The internet bidding was strong all three days," said Bryant Wood, company president. "Contractors are busy and took advantage of the online bidding. Prices have been trending upward as good equipment is in short supply."

JM Wood's next auction will be a one-owner auction held in Columbus, Ga., for Waggoners Trucking in September.
