How would you make a positive difference in your community if you won a new John Deere G-Series skid steer or compact track loader (CTL)? Beginning today, John Deere is asking that question in communities across the country through the launch of the "Small Machines. Big Impact." contest. Through the contest, John Deere will collect community project ideas from the U.S. landscaping, agriculture and construction industries. The contest entrant with the most impactful project idea will win his/her choice of a new John Deere G-Series skid steer or CTL with a WorkSite Pro Attachment to fulfill his/her vision.

"In the daily demands of construction, it's easy to forget what's truly important — doing good," said Graham Hinch, division manager, John Deere Commercial Worksite Products. "However, what's within a John Deere G-Series machine can inspire and enable what's within our customers. Many around the country have already done amazing things in their communities — from improving parks to preserving local history — and we want to inspire even more people, all while showcasing our new G-Series small- and large-frame capabilities."

Now through April 30, 2017, contractors are invited to submit an entry detailing what kind of big impact they would make in their community with the power of a G-Series machine. A group of finalists will be determined by John Deere, and public voting to determine the winner will take place from June 1, 2017 to July 5, 2017. The grand-prize winner of the contest will be announced on July 10 as part of the 2017 John Deere Classic. The winner will receive a new John Deere G-Series skid steer or CTL to put the muscle of the machine to community good. Second- and third-place winners will win a yearlong lease on a skid steer or CTL from John Deere Financial.
