Newly formed Junjin America has introduced the rock commander line of rock drills to North America. The JD 1400E rock commander is the first in a series of dependably built, simply designed drills with proven components and low technology for a reliable, low cost drilling application, according to the manufacturer.

The JD 1400E rock commander has the capability to drill deep holes from 3.5 to 5 in. (8.9 to 12.7 cm) in diameter at fast drilling rates with low maintenance. It’s powered by a Cummins QSC8.3-C Engine. Its components include a GHH Rand air compressor, the YH135 drifter, and a simple carousel type rod changer.

Larmee Equipment & Supply Inc. of Louisville, Ky., and Junjin CSM of Seoul, South Korea, formed the new partnership with the end user in mind. Junjin America combines Larmee Equipment’s 40 years of experience in the rock drilling industry with Junjin CSM’s manufacturing expertise to provide the JD 1400E rock commander for the American market.
