Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has formed a new department to develop and cultivate partnerships and agreements between the company and global customers and potential customers.
As part of this move, Jason Killpack has been named director of strategic partnerships for TPS. The announcement was made by Murray Lodge, vice president of construction sales.
“In his new role, Jason will be responsible for providing partners with world-class tools in productivity, training, support and education for their organizations and key employees. Through this new initiative, Topcon will gain valuable insight from our partners into new product development,” Lodge said.
“To compete in the global economy, identifying and working with key partners will increase Topcon’s ability to continue to compete at a high level throughout the world.”
Of his new assignment, Killpack said, “Every position I have held in the precise positioning business has increased my awareness of how important partnerships are to successful businesses.
“This new initiative will aid both our partners and Topcon in becoming stronger, more knowledgeable businesses.”
Killpack has worked in the precise measurement industry for more than 14 years, having started in the business in 1996 working for NESSCO Supply in Oregon. He joined Sokkia Corporation two years later and managed the local sales operation.
Killpack joined TPS in 2002 as western regional manager for survey products. Over the last several years, Killpack has held the positions of manager, senior manager and director of TPS product marketing. Before his present assignment, he served as director of product management, and was responsible for software and hardware development for TPS.
