King of Prussia Equipment and Husqvarna Construction Products held a one-day service seminar Nov. 3, 2018, for Husqvarna Soff-Cut saws and vacuums.

The service school started at 8 a.m. at King of Prussia Equipment's facility in King of Prussia, Pa. Thirteen mechanics from eight concrete construction companies in the tri-state region attended the training seminar.

Stewart Carr, northeast floor placement specialist, led off the event by instructing the class with a power point presentation of the full line of early entry dry saws, including Husqvarna Soff-Cut 150, 2000 and 4000 saws.

After the power point presentation, Stewart conducted a hands-on workshop of these saws. Each technician disassembled and re-assembled blade blocks for the saws in the shop service bay. After the workshop, Steward did a power point presentation on the Husqvarna line of vacuums. These vacuums are essential on job sites to comply with OSHA regulations for dust and slurry management. The Husqvarna Soff-Cut V1000 vacuum and the Husqvarna electric and propane vacuums and pre-separators were covered.

After the power point presentation, the class broke out for lunch and had pizza, snacks, soda and bottled water — all provided by King of Prussia Equipment Corp. After lunch, Stewart provided a hands-on workshop of vacuums in the service bay, emphasizing dust and slurry control. The service school ended around 3 p.m. with each participant receiving a "Goody" bag that included a shirt, shot glass, hat, double-ended permanent markers and a drink cup holder — all provided by Husqvarna, which also supplied coffee and donuts throughout the day.
