Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. has hired Pam Duncan to serve as International Sales Representative and Equipment Appraiser. Duncan joins Kirby-Smith Machinery's Used Equipment Department with the primary focus of growing the company's used machine business internationally. In addition to selling Kirby-Smith Machinery's used inventory, which includes brands such as Komatsu, Wirtgen Group, Manitowoc and Takeuchi, among others, Duncan will also help evaluate trade-ins for the department.
Duncan brings over ten years' worth of experience in international and domestic equipment sales to the position. In that time, she has worked with contractors across the United States to inspect, purchase and sell used machines. The top sales person at her previous company for the last three years, Duncan is no stranger to success. She is ready to help the company's sales flourish overseas. "There is a tremendous need for used equipment in the international market," said Duncan. "I look forward to showing the value our large inventory selection offers buyers."
Director of Used Equipment & Remarketing, David Mehrtens, believes Duncan will do well in her new role with Kirby-Smith. "Pam is going to be vital in growing our used equipment presence," said Mehrtens. "I have sold in this industry long enough to know whether or not someone has the skills to sell used iron consistently, and Pam is going to be one of the best. No question – we had to add her to our team here. She understands our buyers, knows the equipment, and has a keen eye on inspecting trades. She's going to do great things for the department."
Duncan is already familiar Kirby-Smith's wide assortment of equipment offerings, particularly the Wirtgen Group product line, which has become a specialty of hers. Kirby-Smith Machinery is a distributor for Wirtgen milling machines and soil stabilizers, Vogele pavers, Hamm rollers, Kleemann crushers and screens and other road construction machinery.
