Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc.’s newest 8,730-sq.-ft. location is located at 8320 Ruby Ave., Kansas City, Kan.

 These two gentleman were a big part of the new Kansas City facility. Joe Vaught (L) of the Vaught Group sold the land to Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc., and Morgan Rose of Rose construction built the facility.

More than 160 guests stopped by Kirby-Smith Machinery Inc.'s grand opening celebration for its newest location in Kansas City, Kan.

Jeffry Weller, COO and executive vice president of Kirby-Smith, Tim Yauilla, Kirby-Smith's Kansas City sales and operations manager and Del Keffer, vice president of sales of Kirby-Smith, cut the ribbon during the event, officially opening Kirby Smith's 10th branch. The location carries a wide variety of equipment, including LBX (Link-Belt excavators), KCM loaders, Grove cranes, Manitowoc cranes, Broderson cranes, National boom trucks, Terramac crawler carries, Hydrema equipment, Leeboy paving equipment, Falcon asphalt recyclers, Genesis hammers and JRB attachments. The company also offers an assorted rental fleet that includes other brands, including Takeuchi, Air Burners, JLG/Skytrak and more. The location will also provide parts and service support for customers in Kansas and western Missouri. The 8,730-sq.-ft. facility includes four service bays with high ceilings conducive to crane service and repairs.

“I was so pleased to see the terrific turnout of customers for our open house,” said Tim Yauilla. “The turnout was definitely the highlight of the show. We finally were able to put faces to many of our customers and meet several new companies for the first time. It was a great day, and I want to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who attended.
