Komatsu America Corp. has appointed Midlantic Machinery as the forestry equipment distributor of the state of Delaware and most of Maryland.

Midlantic Machinery will handle the full-line of Komatsu forestry equipment, which includes track feller bunchers and harvesters, log loaders, wheeled harvesters, forwarders, and harvesting/processing heads.

Midlantic Machinery also is the distributor in these areas for Komatsu construction and mining equipment.

“Midlantic Machinery is an excellent addition to the Komatsu forestry equipment team,” said Jim Williams, director, sales and service forestry of Komatsu. “They have done a great job representing and growing Komatsu's business in this region and we know that they will do the same for forestry. The addition of Midlantic as a distributor now gives us complete forestry equipment sales coverage in the northeast United States.”

Midlantic Machinery was founded in 1941 and began selling Komatsu equipment in the late 1960s, making it one the oldest continuous Komatsu distributors in the United States. Headquartered in Hatfield, Pa., Midlantic Machinery has a total of seven branch locations. Forestry equipment will be sold and serviced by the Baltimore, Md., and Laurel, Del., branches.

“We are excited to be representing Komatsu forestry equipment in these territories,” said Ben Norris, president, Midlantic Machinery. “It provides us with an outstanding addition to our product line-up and will allow us to continue to grow our overall business and provide full service solutions in this area.”

The Midlantic Machinery forestry sales team includes Eric Everitt, Mike Hayden, Shane Pinzka and Walter Ward at the Baltimore, Md., branch (Tel: 410/247-2100), and Donnie Dyott at the Laurel, Del., branch (Tel: 302/715-5382).
