Tue October 15, 2013 - National Edition
KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens hosted more than 60 authorized North American dealers at its annual national dealer conference (NDC), held Sept. 16 to 19 in Eugene, Ore.
Each year, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens launches new products and sales tools for its dealers during the national dealer conference. This year, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens launched seven new pieces of equipment, including the new generation SuperStacker, the GT125 jaw crusher, the GT145S screen plant, the GT165DF screen plant, the Kodiak Plus K500+ cone crusher, the Series 9000 de-watering screen and the high frequency screen for the industrial sands market.
In addition to its new product launches, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens also unveiled its new dealer-only app called “IronCaddy,” which enables authorized dealers to access information about its five product lines, as well as media offerings. Each dealership received a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 to use for sales support and education.
Melinda Schweitzer, marketing manager of KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens, said this valuable new digital tool will allow dealers to have the latest information at their fingertips, while helping them maximize application and product videos and animations.
“Our goal as a manufacturer is to supply our domestic and international dealers with the tools they need to tap into new and existing markets with our innovative products,” Schweitzer said. “We believe IronCaddy will be the resource they need to help their customers understand the features and benefits of our equipment in an engaging and interactive manner.”
During the 2013 national dealer conference, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens released its new company video, which focuses on the company’s history, longevity and commitment to quality and innovation. New, in-depth product videos also were developed as educational tools on the new generation SuperStacker, the redesigned Vanguard jaw crusher, the Kodiak K500+ cone crusher, the high frequency screen for the industrial sands market, the Series 9000 washing and classifying product line, and the Global Track product line.
The company also announced a significant improvement to its Web site, kpijci.com. Beginning in October, the Web site will be translated automatically into Spanish, Portuguese and French Canadian based on computer language preferences.
“As a manufacturer of premier heavy equipment for markets all over the world, we know how critical it is to be able to connect with dealers and customers in their native language,” Schweitzer said. “As we continue to grow, we will focus on translating our sales and marketing tools into new languages to reach our customers all across the globe.”
In addition to the educational sessions on KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens’ latest innovations, dealers were recognized for their sales excellence during the annual NDC awards dinner. Dealers and industry media also attended an equipment expo with nine pieces of equipment on display, as well as participated in factory tours at the KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens manufacturing facility located in Eugene.
