 Michael Tessier of MB Crusher America Inc. showcases the company’s newest drum cutter, the MB-R500. It is the smallest drum cutter of the MB Crusher line, weighing only 660 lbs. It can be installed on mini- and midi-excavators from 6,000 lbs. to 24,000 lbs. and on skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders from 6,000 lbs. to 16,000 lbs. The MB-R500 is designed for narrow trenching, wall facing, working underground and tunneling.

The inaugural Mining and Exploration International Conference and Expo (MEI) was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Sept. 6 to Sept. 8, 2018. Attendees browsed hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest mining and processing technologies for coal, metal and nonmetal surface and underground mining.

The event drew world-class experts to address a variety of topics concerning the mining industry. Also addressed were topics including workforce development, sustainability, community and technology.

According to a spokesperson for the event, plans are already under way for the 2019 conference.
