Construction Equipment Guide

The LeeBoy 8510 conveyor paver is designed to fill the niche between the LeeBoy 8500 and 8515 asphalt pavers for increased production in a commercial class paver. The 8510 achieves this production increase with 12-in. (30.5 cm) diameter casted augers and a 7.5-ton (6.8 t) hopper constructed of heavy-duty .38-in. (.95 cm) steel with large radius hopper wings for enhanced material flow.

In addition, the 8510 features standard hydraulic operating controls and dual lever joystick steering from both sides of the paver. The popular 8500 model offers manual cable-type drive system and the 8515 model offers full electronic control systems. When ordering the 8510 paver, contractors have a choice of high or low deck configuration, propane or electric screed heat and poly pad or rubber band tracks.

The 8510 is powered by an 87-hp (64.8 kW) Kubota diesel engine and features the 8- to 15-ft. (2.4 to 4.6 m) Legend screed system with dual vibrators and the choice of either propane or Legend electric screed heat systems.

The LeeBoy 8510 features hydraulic screed extensions, with the LeeBoy heated and vibrating Legend screed system, which are mounted in front of the main screed and easily adjustable. Its under-auger cut-off plates make for clean starts and stops. Non-contacting sonic auger controls provide automatic feeding of asphalt to the screed extensions.

A two-speed hydrostatic drive allows the LeeBoy 8510 to pave up to 6-in. (15.24 cm) depths at infinitely variable widths from 8 to 15 ft. smoothly and efficiently. Its 17,200 lbs. (7,800 kg) weight, paving speed up to 160 ft. (48.8 m) per minute and the other 8510 features make it capable of high production on commercial class paving job sites.

The 8510 also features a hydraulically raised hopper bed, allowing the paver undercarriage and tracks to be easily cleaned and serviced. The 7.5-ton receiving hopper has hydraulically folding wings and feeds the paver with dual 36-in. (91.4 cm) feeding conveyors.
