Liftech Equipment Companies Inc. with headquarters in East Syracuse, NY, has expanded its construction equipment operations to include the Connecticut and western Massachusetts region.

Liftech has acquired the sales, service, parts, and rental operations of the former JCB construction equipment dealer based in Connecticut, Carpenter and Chapman Inc., whose facility was located at 9 Belden Rd., Bloomfield, CT. Liftech will be the exclusive source for the full line of JCB construction equipment and Vibromax compaction equipment, in the state of Connecticut and western Massachusetts.

“The employees of Liftech are excited for the opportunity to be of service to the construction equipment industry in Connecticut and Massachusetts,” stated Joe Verzino, president of Liftech Equipment Companies.

“We wish Dick Jones, president of Carpenter and Chapman, all the best in his future endeavors. We also appreciate his efforts and those of his team to help ensure a seamless transition for customers who rely on the dealership for support of their business activities.”

Founded in 1988, Liftech operates six full-service locations in Upstate New York and Vermont. All of its facilities have JCB construction equipment as a significant member of the product offerings, which include: Genie aerial lifts and booms, Gardner Denver compressors, Hotsy pressure and parts washers, Hubtex sideloaders, Hyster fork lifts, JLG lifts and maintenance vehicles, Tennant sweepers and scrubbers, and Trackmobile rail car movers.

Liftech also represents suppliers of accessories and attachments.

“We clearly intend to become a valuable resource of products and services for contractors and landscapers in the area,” said Bruce Prashaw, general manager of construction equipment. “Businesses need to know we’re here for the long haul, and we want to help them be better at responding to their customer commitments.”
