LiuGong introduced two new machines in its growing line of forklifts into the North American market — the 2030P-D3 and a 2050P-D3, from the new 2030-35P and 2040-50P model families. Each family of forklifts will soon be available with either Tier III diesel engines or LPG/Gas engines.
The 2030P-D3 Tier III Yanmar diesel is well-suited for applications in outdoor storage yards, such as lumber, pipe, concrete and for general rental applications lifting up to 3 tons (2.7 t).
An ergonomic design was designed with the driver needs in mind. The machine’s chassis supports a cushion-mounted operator’s compartment to isolate the driver from vibration. Coupled with the available full-suspension seat and seat-side hydraulic controls, these features improve operator productivity and minimize fatigue, according to the manufacturer.
Even the hydrostatic steer axle is rubber mounted to the frame for additional vibration reduction.
Standard equipment includes a backup alarm, two front combination flood lights, turn signals, rear view mirrors and LiuGong’s rear light bar with LED turn/brake/backup lights for increased protection for the operator and others on the job site. An open step and spacious foot room allow for easy access and room to move for the operator.
The all new, three stage forklift mast design also contributes to operator productivity as it provides enhanced forward visibility due to a low profile cylinder design, single lift chain and wide channel spacing. The secondary lift chain and auxiliary hydraulics are mounted 90 degrees behind the channels and won’t interfere with visibility through the mast. Mast cylinders feature internal drain lines and hydraulic cushioning for smooth, quiet operation. With available mast heights that allow stacking up to 18 ft. (5.5 m) and a variety of attachments, the 2030P-D3 offers a versatile platform for most any application, according to the manufacturer.
The 2050P-D3 forklift truck, which comes with a Cummins Tier III turbo diesel engine, is designed for outdoor industrial material handling, saw mills, steel mills, concrete yards, lumber yards and heavy warehousing. The machine features an elevated air intake with pre-cleaner and dual element engine air filtration as standard equipment.
The 2050P-D3’s design features most of the operator comfort and productivity enhancing features of the smaller forklift but is capable of lifting up to 5 tons (4.5 t) of product. A heavy duty fabricated steer axle features hydrostatic steering and tapered roller bearings to make operations easy and precise, while adding to a long service life. Dual hydraulic pumps mounted to the transmission give powerful, responsive hydraulic performance and are easily accessible for service.
LiuGong forklifts will be sold through professional forklift dealers. As with all LiuGong machinery, the company supports dealers with its regional staff of sales and technical personnel, and through the company’s regional parts depot, located in Texas for the North American region.
