Luby Equipment Services, a St. Louis-based Case Construction Equipment dealer, has announced the hiring of Mike Adams as sales representative. He will be replacing industry veteran Don Castens, who retired at the end of June.

Prior to Luby Equipment Services, Adams served as general manager at United Rentals in Springfield and was responsible for all branch operations.

"Mike comes from a strong safety and customer centric culture and I fully expect that to resonate within our team and our customers," said David Kedney, vice president of sales and marketing, Luby Equipment Services.

Adams will be responsible for selling and leasing Luby's full line of equipment, provide solutions for customers' equipment needs, collaborate with all departments to swiftly respond to any customer requests, and manage the entire sales process ensuring customer satisfaction.

Castens was an 8 year veteran of the company. He joined in 2011 as a sales representative in Caseyville before transitioning to the Springfield location. Castens was responsible for a 12- county territory based out of the Springfield location.

"Don has an unwavering passion for the customer and has done a nice job building relationships throughout his tenure at Luby," said Kedney, "We will miss him but he can retire knowing that he is handing over his territory in a good place, to such a respected colleague."

Luby Equipment Services operates out of its headquarters in Fenton, Mo., and seven other branch locations in Illinois and Missouri. They serve their customers' equipment needs with a variety of new, used, and rental equipment. The company represents several manufacturers, including Case Construction, Takeuchi, Doosan, Indeco, Atlas Copco, Wacker Neuson, Oshkosh Airport Products, Toro, Eager Beaver and Towmaster trailers.
