Mack Defense, a division of Mack Trucks Inc., will supply West-Mark with its MACK Granite model truck following an award from the U.S. Army Contracting Command out of Warren, Mich. Under the contract, West-Mark, a manufacturer of tank transportation equipment, will produce water and fuel tanker trucks to serve Security Forces of Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries during the continued rebuilding and infrastructure efforts.

“Our rugged Granite truck has proven itself in both military and commercial service around the world and will excel in this application” said Tom Kelly, Mack Defense senior vice president. “Mack’s 111 years of truck manufacturing experience complements West-Mark’s expertise perfectly on this program.”

Deliveries will start in early 2012 and continue through the contracting period of 3 years, with a 2-year option. The total value of this contract is approximately $37.8 million and includes spare parts and in-country service points.
