Mack Trucks donated a 2019 Mack Granite Axle Forward model to the 15th annual Concrete Industry Management (CIM) auction, taking place Feb. 5 during World of Concrete 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"Mack is proud to help support future professionals within the concrete industry through our donation of a Mack Granite model to this year's CIM auction," said Tim Wrinkle, Mack construction product manager. "As a leader in the construction segment, Mack recognizes the value of CIM's programs in developing well-rounded, well-prepared leaders for tomorrow's construction jobs."

All auction proceeds will be used for the establishment and development of CIM programs across the nation. The CIM program awards students a four-year bachelor's degree in Concrete Industry Management and is currently offered at Middle Tennessee State University, California State University, Chico, Texas State University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. More than 475 students are currently enrolled and pursuing degrees in Concrete Industry Management.

Built on Mack's Cornerstone chassis, the donated Granite model is powered by an 11-L, 375-hp Mack MP7-375C engine. Power is fed through Mack's 14-speed Mack mDRIVE HD automated manual transmission with two low-ratio creeper gears and Mack proprietary axles. Mounted on the chassis is a McNeilus Bridgemaster Mixer featuring an 11-cu.-yd. M80 Series drum, which was donated by McNeilus.

"We thank Mack Trucks for stepping up and making this significant contribution to support the CIM Auction," said Ben Robuck, CIM Auction Committee chairman. "This mixer truck will help ensure a successful 2020 CIM Auction at World of Concrete, enabling future students to reap the benefits of the CIM program and contribute greatly to the concrete industry."

The winning bidder will receive free delivery of the Mack Granite model to anywhere in the contiguous United States, as well as a 60-month/250,000-mile Mack Engine Plan 2 extended warranty.

Bids on the Granite model will be accepted both during the live portion of the auction and online through Ritchie Bros. To participate in electronic auction bidding, bidders must register a week in advance. Those participating in person at World of Concrete can register on-site.
