Montreal-based Major Wire Industries, Ltd., has expanded its sales force to include four new Authorized Dealers in the United States, supplying Major's complete line of screen media solutions for aggregate, mining and recycling operations. The domestic dealerships include:

Continental Equipment Company, representing Missouri, Arkansas, Southern Illinois and Eastern Kansas

McCourt and Sons Equipment, Inc., representing most of Texas, as well as Oklahoma, Louisiana and southern Mississippi

Northwest Screening Supply, LLC, representing Oregon and select counties in northern California

Stone Equipment Company, representing Alabama and the Florida Panhandle

According to James Siler, vice president of sales for North America at Major, these dealerships focus on being solution driven and customer oriented to help producers optimize their facilities and improve their processes for increased production. “All of us at Major are very excited that we're now partnering with these excellent dealers,” Siler said. “Already, they are doing an outstanding job getting our products into their customer locations.”

Siler also noted that several of these dealerships have put their sales professionals through the rigorous process of qualifying them to become Major Certified Screening Experts. These experts include Pat and Mike Andrew of Northwest Screening Supply and Mark Prihoda and DeWayne Jackson of McCourt and Sons. Process Machinery Inc., which has represented Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio for many years, also has two sales professionals who have recently become Certified Screening Experts – Kyle Bellamy and Brad Cragen.

“With the certification of these salespeople within our network, we have more screening experts who have the tools to provide even better support to their customers by offering our two most successful sales programs – the no-cost Screening Plant Audits and educational Screen Maintenance Simplified seminars,” he said.

Major's Screening Plant Audits are designed to help producers identify screening areas that are performing well and also those that need improvement. The company's Screen Maintenance Simplified seminars – also provided at no cost to customers – have been proven to help producer plant managers, operators and maintenance crews learn to identify common screening inefficiencies that can easily be fixed, increasing production rates and improving operating uptime.

Major's screen media solutions include the advanced-technology Flex-Mat High-Vibration Wire Screen Media in tensioned and modular versions and OptimumWire Woven Wire.

Flex-Mat's independently vibrating wires accelerate stratification and improve product throughput by up to 40 percent over traditional woven wire or polyurethane panels. The increased screening action and greater open area with Flex-Mat virtually eliminate blinding, pegging and clogging. Flex-Mat® panels provide up to 30 percent more screen capacity than woven wire and up to 50 percent more screen capacity than polyurethane and rubber panels.

OptimumWire Woven Wire has a unique chemical makeup that provides up to 40 percent longer wear life when compared to traditional woven wire of the same diameter. Delivering the industry's best combination of ductility, hardness and tensile strength, OptimumWire is less susceptible to breaking in high-impact conditions and with highly abrasive materials, so it lasts longer and minimizes labor, maintenance and lost production costs.

With more than 130 years in business, Major designs, manufactures and markets screening media solutions used for quarry, mining, recycling and other related industries worldwide. Flex-Mat, our brand of high-vibration wire screens, is available in tensioned and modular applications. OptimumWire, our premium woven wire cloth, is made with either our patented wire process or stainless steel.
