Manitou Americas has introduced a new line of Manitou brand industrial forklifts that includes ten electric models (ME Range) and four internal combustion models (MI Range). The addition of the ME/MI Industrial Forklift Range strengthens Manitou's product offering to 27 masted forklift options for North America, with six semi-industrial units and seven rough terrain units already established in the market.

"We are very excited to launch the new Manitou industrial forklifts into the North American market for the first time," said Chris Mathijs, Manitou products sales and marketing director. "The new forklifts will offer our dealers additional market opportunities to grow their businesses, alongside the current rough terrain, semi-industrial and truck mounted forklift product ranges."

The all-new electric powered ME Range features ten models that lift between 2,900 to 7,000 lbs. (1350-3175 kg) and reach heights up to 21 ft., 4 in. (6.5 m). These forklifts are the perfect solution to strict interior usage standards and work well for loading and unloading trucks in logistic centers, stores, warehouses, distribution centers and procurement centers. The ME Range includes four three-wheeled machines, the ME 315, ME 316, ME 318 and ME 320, which are compact enough to operate in aisles as narrow as 10 ft., 3 in. These models are designed with a 48-volt battery, two 6.36-horsepower (4.75 kW) traction motors and 11.5-horsepower (8.6kW) lifting motor. The next size up are the mid-sized ME 418, ME 420 and ME 425C that have a higher capacity, four wheels, 48-volt battery and 11.5-horsepower (8.6 kW) engine. The ME 425, ME 430 and ME 435 are the largest four-wheeled units in the ME product line and are built with an even greater lift capacity, 80-volt battery, 24.8-horsepower (18.5 kW) traction motor and 34-horsepower (25.4 kW) lifting motor.

The four new LPG powered models, the MI 20G, MI 25G, MI 30G and MI 35G, provide lift capacity that ranges from 3,900 to 7,000 lbs. (1820-3175 kg) with an operating weight of 7,981 to 10,450 lbs. (3620-4740 kg). This range excels in similar markets to the ME Range with added versatility that allows operation outdoors.

Manitou's ME/MI Industrial Forklift Range will expand even further in 2018, extending the lift capacity range from 3,000 to 22,000 lbs. (1360-9979 kg). The additional models will include eight LPG units, twelve diesel units and four electric units, solidifying the Manitou industrial forklift offering to 38 models.
