Mark Stratton has been appointed general manager of Perkins large engines, based in Seguin, Texas, with global responsibility for engines in the 7.2 to 18 liter range.

“Mark has more than 30 years of experience in operations, manufacturing systems and manufacturing engineering,” said Perkins President Steve Ferguson. “He leveraged the successful turnaround for medium engines to invest in successful R&D efforts and expanded the global engineering footprint to include a significant presence in Canada and India.

“Mark is exceptionally well positioned to deliver equally strong results as the general manager for large engines.”

Current medium engines operations general manager David Goldspink will succeed Mark as general manager for medium engines, with global responsibility for engines in the 0.5 to 7.1 liter range. He will be based in Peterborough, UK.

“David is also a 30-year veteran of our industry,” Ferguson added. “With experience in supply chain purchasing, logistics and product management, he was a key player in the medium engines turnaround responsible for improvements in operational efficiency, improved customer lead times and safety metrics.

“David's experience and in-depth knowledge of the Perkins business will serve him well in his new role.”
