Maxim Crane Works has placed an order for the very first Tadano CC 78.1250-1, the latest addition to Tadano's lattice boom crawler crane lineup.

This model made its global debut at bauma 2025. Following its introduction, Maxim Crane Works secured the first unit, marking a major milestone for both companies. The official signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Tadano booth during the event.

This new-generation 1,375-ton capacity lattice boom crawler crane builds on its predecessor, the CC 68.1250-1, with enhancements in lifting performance, transportability and operational efficiency.

Advancing Performance, Versatility

The CC 78.1250-1 is engineered to meet the evolving demands of the heavy lifting industry, particularly in sectors such as wind energy, infrastructure and industrial projects, according to Tadano.

With a maximum hook height of 736 ft. when equipped with a 49-ft. fixed jib, the crane can lift an impressive 154 tons in this configuration. A widened base structure of 11.5 ft. and two available crawler shoe widths of 6.6 ft. and 7.9 ft. provide stability and adaptability to various ground conditions.

Maxim's Commitment to Excellence

With one of the largest and most diverse fleets of lifting equipment in North America, Maxim Crane Works continues to invest in machinery to support its customers.

"At Maxim Crane Works, we are committed to providing our customers with cutting-edge lifting solutions," said Paul McDonnell, CEO of Maxim Crane Works. "The specifications of the CC 78.1250-1, including its exceptional lifting capacity and transport efficiency, made it an easy choice for our fleet. We can't wait to have this crane available to work on critical projects."

Dean Barley, president and CEO, Tadano America Corp., Manitex International and Tadano Mantis Corp., highlights Tadano's dedication to quality:

"Tadano lattice boom crawler cranes are designed with a focus on reliability, efficiency and safety," said Barley. "With our industry-leading innovations — such as the IC-1 Remote telematics system, optimized transport solutions and multiple safety redundancies — the CC 78.1250-1 is built to perform in the most demanding lifting environments. We are proud that Maxim Crane Works, a valued partner, is the first to add this model to its fleet."
