An articulating boom lift with features including a working outreach of 30 ft. 3 in., (9.2 m) a spacious 32- by 58-in. (81.2 by 147.3 cm) platform, and a width of less than 5 ft. (1.5 m) for easy movement in tight places is now available from Mayville Engineering Company and its dealers throughout North America.
The new MEC 43E, powered by a 48-volt electrical system, has a maximum working height of 49 ft. (14.9 m). Its large, 500-lb. (226 kg) capacity platform, which easily accommodates one or two people, tools and materials, features full 180-degree rotation, while the base of the unit rotates 350 degrees.
The working outreach of the new boom is achieved at an up-and-over height of 15 ft. 3 in. (4.6 m). With its independent operating boom section, it can obtain a minimum up-and-over height of 13 ft. (3.9 m) with a working outreach of 29 ft. 10 in. (9 m).
Designed for plant maintenance, construction and other overhead tasks from a slab surface, the 43E has a full set of controls at the platform level for proportional drive, steer, lift, boom extension, rotation and platform leveling — all smooth and precise. The compact unit moves at speeds up to 3 mph (4.8 kmph) through narrow aisles and around obstructions with exceptional ease, again enhancing productivity.
Numerous safety features of the MEC articulated boom include safety dual hand rails at the platform, emergency stop at platform and base, ground control at the base, slope detector, oscillating rear axle, automatic brakes, self-closing entrance gate, and lanyard attachment points.
