Metso hosted approximately 200 customers and equipment distributors at its 2013 Quarry Supply Solutions & Industry Knowledge Expo, held Oct. 10 at its facility in Columbia, S.C. The event was held to bring customers up to date on the latest Metso technology and solutions to keep their operations running at peak efficiency. The event also served as the introduction to Metso’s new Quarry Supply Solutions initiative, which provides customers with a one-stop shop for a range of quarry consumables, including screen media, wire mesh, linings, conveyor belting, components and accessories.

“What we’ve tried with the Quarry Supply Solutions initiative is to put these products together as a package,” said Adrian Quigg, vice president, distributor sales — Americas. “We’re committed to finding creative new ways to deliver value to the customer.”

The Expo also offered equipment displays, including Metso’s C120 jaw, wear and spare parts, pumps, vibrating screens and Lokotrack mobile crushing and screening plants. Among the mobiles on display were the LT106 jaw plant, LT200HP cone crusher, CT3.2 mobile conveyor and ST272 mobile screen. Metso product specialists provided equipment demonstrations, including screen media installation, GP cone stroke change and HP cone bladder installation.
