Metso Minerals Taps Blake to Be Senior Vice President

Metso Minerals Industries Inc. named Rich Blake as senior vice president of the Americas Market Area. The appointment was announced by Jouni Salo, president of Metso Minerals’ Construction Business Line.

In this role, Blake, who most recently served as vice president of Sales and Marketing USA, will oversee sales, marketing and service throughout the Western Hemisphere for Metso’s construction products. He will report directly to Salo and will serve on the construction management team.

“Rich brings more than a decade of experience to the job and has both the expertise and drive to foster continuous innovation and growth. I am pleased that Rich will be joining the executive team for the construction line,” said Salo.

Blake has been a member of the aggregates industry for more than 20 years and he has worked with Metso Minerals in various capacities for the past 13 years. He was instrumental in developing the sales and distribution strategy for the U.S. market. He guided Metso Minerals’ U.S. team through many changes and growth.

Blake is involved in the aggregates industry. He serves on various committees of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), which include ROCKPAC’s board of trustees, Manufacturers & Services Board and Young Leader Council. He was the recipient of the 2007 Mark S. Walsh Leadership Award.
