Michigan Rental LLC, a Michigan entity owned by the MacAllister family out of Indianapolis, Ind., recently acquired the assets of Titan Equipment. With five facilities across the state, Titan is a Michigan-based industrial and equipment rental company.

"We have targeted the expansion of our rental presence across the state of Michigan as top priority. The acquisition of Titan increases locations from one to six," said Chris MacAllister, president.

"Titan will benefit from Cat machines, software, systems and an established Cat customer base. Michigan customers gain instant access to five additional facilities, an excellent organization with a great reputation and a high level of customer service. The strategic fit is excellent," he continued.

Among the benefits of joining forces with the MacAllister team is the ability to provide customers with a broader more diverse line of equipment, additional locations across the state, additional capabilities to serve customers in neighboring states through the 12 locations in Indiana and increased buying power with the manufacturers, according to the company.

Titan Equipment, based near Grand Rapids, was established in 2006 and operates industrial rental locations in Byron Center, Lansing, Midland, Traverse City and Wixom, Mich.

The MacAllister family also owns the Indiana and Michigan Caterpillar dealerships.
