Groff Tractor has hired Mike Heist as account manager, effective July 23. His territory includes Elk, northern Cambria, Clearfield, Indiana and Jefferson counties.

Heist, who reports to Vice President Michael Lester, will be responsible for account management and sales and rentals, as well as providing service and customer support. He also will "provide the essential quality tools and equipment along with superior strategies and service to improve the efficiency of our clients' every task," he said.

"I am very excited for the opportunity the family here at Groff Tractor has provided me," Heist added. "I look forward to many prosperous years assisting in the success of such an admirable organization.

"Going forward, I often think about a quote from Socrates, 'The only true wisdom, is knowing that you know nothing.' This helps keep me humble and grounded as I encounter new challenges and seek effective solutions for both Groff Tractor and our clients."

Prior to joining Groff Tractor, Heist was a financial representative of a finance firm in Altoona, Pa.
