Miller-Bradford & Risberg, the Case distributor, celebrated the 40th anniversary of the introduction of the Case skid steer with a Rockin’ Block Party at its Eau Claire facility, 2525 Alpine Road, on June 13.

A crowd of more than 100 attended the event. Representatives from Habitat for Humanity accepted a donation of $2,269, which included $1,000 each from Miller-Bradford & Risberg and Case, and all proceeds from the food sales. Habitat for Humanity also raffled off an air compressor donated from Miller-Bradford & Risberg, which raised an additional $2,123 for Habitat for Humanity.

“We had a great time hosting this celebration,” said Jim Ruckman, manager of Miller-Bradford & Risberg’s Eau Claire location. “We were quite pleased with the turnout, and we’re always happy to support the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.”

More than 60 operators who demonstrated a Case skid steer were registered to win one of four free skid steers that Case is giving away in December. Also available for a test drive were Case E Series wheel loaders, Case excavators and a Case 580SM loader backhoe. In addition, a military issue compact track loader finished in camouflage was on display, which was popular as a photo opportunity.

Case dealers are partnering with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates at Rockin’ Block Parties across the United States and Canada and are expected to generate more than $50,000 in contributions for the nonprofit organization. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and has more than 2,300 active affiliates around the world.
