Miller-Bradford & Risberg, the Case distributor, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the introduction of the Case skid steer with a Rockin’ Block Party at its Sussex, Wis., facility, W250 N6851 Hwy 164 on June 4.
At the event, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., attendees can test drive a Case skid steer to be registered in a drawing to win one of four being given away in December by Case. Free brats, burgers and beverages will be served, raffle prizes will be presented throughout the day, and operators can compete for prizes in equipment contests. Anyone interested in off-road equipment is invited to attend.
“We are looking forward to hosting this celebration,” said Brian Taylor, manager of Miller-Bradford & Risberg’s Sussex location. “The Case skid steer is an extremely versatile piece of equipment and is a staple at job sites around the world. We’ll have several available for attendees to operate.”
The equipment demonstrations will showcase Case’s new line of Series 3 skid steer loaders and compact skid steer loaders with the powerful, quiet Series III engine and a redesigned cab for improved airflow and operator comfort. Anyone who participates in a skid steer demonstration will be entered to win one of the four free skid steers that Case is giving away in December. Additional equipment will be available to operate, including the Case E Series wheel loaders, Case excavators and a Case 580SM loader backhoe. In addition, a military issue compact track loader, finished in camouflage, will be on display, presenting the perfect photo opportunity, complete with full body armor.
Operators will be able to test their skills with a skid steer by navigating a U-shaped obstacle course while picking up softballs, racing to the finish line. The fastest time wins, and dropping softballs incurs a penalty. First place will be awarded a $300 gift certificate, which can be used toward any purchase at Miller-Bradford & Risberg.
Case dealers are partnering with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates at Rockin’ Block Parties across the United States and Canada and are expected to generate more than $50,000 in contributions for the nonprofit organization. Miller-Bradford & Risberg has already donated $1,000 to the Milwaukee chapter, with additional contributions coming from donations for food provided at their scheduled Rockin’ Block Parties. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and has more than 2,300 active affiliates around the world.
Miller-Bradford & Risberg has expanded to include eight branch locations throughout Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. Manufacturers represented by Miller-Bradford & Risberg include: Case, Kobelco, Bomag, Terex, Terex Fuchs, Sandvik, Blaw-Knox, and other brands.
