Modern Equipment’s name brings to mind something new, and in keeping with its name, the company has opened a new and improved facility on Aug. 15 at 201 West Church Road, in King of Prussia, Pa. The King of Prussia site replaces the company’s West Conshohocken, Pa., location on Matsonford Road.

During its annual Oktoberfest on Oct. 13 and 14, Modern Equipment also celebrated the grand opening of its King of Prussia location. The Oktoberfest /grand opening gave customers the opportunity to check out the new 35,000-sq.-ft. facility including a 2,400-sq.-ft. showroom and 12 service bays, which is situated on 5-acre site. The new facility enables Modern Equipment to have hundreds of pieces of rental equipment available as well as a variety of new and used iron.

At the Oktoberfest/grand opening in addition to enjoying refreshments and having a chance to win prizes, customers were able to take advantage of special sales of equipment including aerial work platforms, air compressors, compaction and concrete equipment, cranes, excavators, front-end loaders, generators, lighting equipment, backhoe loaders, rough-terrain forklifts and skid steer loaders.

Thirty employees including Paul Mutter, branch manager; Chris Pera, president; Tim Blanche, service manager; and Steve Brown, vice president of Sales, were ready to help customers fill their equipment needs.

The King of Prussia location also includes the company’s corporate headquarters of Modern Sales & Rental Co., which is a subsidiary of the Modern Group Ltd. in Bristol, Pa., a local employee-owned company.
