Construction Equipment Guide

Modern Machinery has purchased the exclusive rights to the Washington, Berger, Skagit, and Pacific product lines from Pacific Manufacturing Corp.

To better serve the needs of existing and new swing and tower yarder customers, Modern Machinery has recently built two new warehouses strategically located in Rochester to store yarder parts for the Pacific Manufacturing product lines as well as Madill products. The purchase included both the existing parts inventory and the thousands of drawings that will enable Modern to manufacture parts for older models.

In addition, the company has hired Chuck Hopkins who has 25 years experience with the Pacific Manufacturing product lines. Hopkins plans to relocate to the Rochester, Wash., area where the company owns and operates a full service branch.

Modern Machinery started in the heavy equipment business in 1944 with a single location in Spokane, Wash. Since then the company have grown to 12 locations.

Other product lines include Komatsu, Komatsu Forestry, JCI, JRB, Allied, Madill, Pierce Pacific, TimberPro, Denharco, Leeboy, Atlas Copco, Pioneer-Kolberg, Rosco, Timbco, Valmet, Hamm, Vögele, Wirtgen, Fleetguard, Esco, Hensley, Sennebogen, Moxy and Precision Husky.
