Monroe Tractor, with seven locations in upstate New York, was recently awarded the top prize in Doosan Infracore America’s (DIA) “All Makes Fourth Quarter Contest.” The national contest, in which Doosan dealers competed against each other by purchasing All Makes products from DIA’s Atlanta headquarters, ran from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2008. More than 200 dealer locations participated in the program.
Chris Felosky, product support manager of Monroe Tractor said, “Monroe Tractor credits much of the success that they have experienced selling Doosan’s All Makes parts to the eight product support reps that are a part of Monroe Tractor’s staff and are responsible for personally calling on and filling the parts and product support needs of central and western New York contractors. These products typically include items such as bucket teeth, filters, batteries and undercarriage parts. Equipment dealers have long requested alternative sources for aftermarket parts and Doosan has done an extraordinary job filling this need.”
By leveraging its OEM expertise and drawing on its experiences Doosan is able to offer its dealers a range of products commonly used in service shops (such as batteries and filters) as well as equipment replacement parts for a wide variety of different makes and models of equipment.
Doosan and its aftermarket suppliers have been engaging in strategic alliances that bring its dealers quality aftermarket products at competitive prices, which in turn allows contractors to purchase common parts for many makes and models of equipment at a tremendous savings.
“Doosan’s entry into the aftermarket parts arena has been wildly successful. We originally entered the market offering a limited scope of items such as oils and filters. The program was so well accepted by our dealers that the number of products offered has since been expanded. We are now constantly adding items and offering sales programs that allow our dealers to offer these parts to their customers with substantial savings,” said Steven Romero, Doosan parts sales representative.
The prize package that Monroe received consisted of a custom utility cart valued at $6,000 and $500 in Doosan merchandise, which was presented to several members of the company on Feb. 12 by Romero. CEG
