A line of dozers were ready to go on the block. More than 75 dump trucks were sold at the North East, Md., auction. Bidders had a variety of wheel loaders to choose from. George Nogueiras, sales manager, Newark Equipment Sales Corp., inspects this Cat 330CL hydraulic excavator. Bob Chuboy, Robert G. Chuboy Contracting, Perryopolis, Pa., said that his daughter is currently attending engineering school and has an internship at PennDOT. He hopes she will take over his business someday. Joe Hill, Joe Hill Construction, Hartley, Del., tests the tracks on this Komatsu PC400LC. Chris Andrusko, James D. Morrissey Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., purchased this Genie Z135/70 boom lift.

More than 3,100 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md., on June 6.

With bidders from 43 countries, approximately 84 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as China, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates. Online bidders purchased approximately 47 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 2,500 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including 90-plus excavators, 70 compactors, 40 skid steers, 40 loaders, 15 dozers, 75 dump trucks, 240 aerial work platforms, 150 truck tractors and more.
