More than 500 customers and guests headed to Miller-Bradford & Risberg’s two-day open house on March 12 and 13 at its location in Rockford, IL.

According to Dan Soley, vice president/co-owner, the idea to host the open house was that of Branch Manager, Kevin Casey, who was shipped off to Kuwait before the event could be held. “We had a lifesize picture of him in his military fatigues greeting guests as they walked in the door,” Soley said. “It was his idea to have the open house, so I was just following through on his plans.”

The open house boasted a little bit for everyone. A demo area was set up so attendees could try out some of the company’s products including Kobelco excavators, Case excavators, wheel loaders, graders, the new K Series dozers, skid steers and tractor loader backhoes as well as Bomag rollers.

The event also featured door prizes consisting of rental and parts credits, as well as special financing both days on new and used equipment. A pig roast was held on the 12th and a roast beef lunch kept attendees full on the 13th.

Soley noted that attendees were impressed with the Case grader, noting its excellent visibility.

“It was a good day. The weather cooperated and it brought in a lot of people to get ready for the season. We had an opportunity to see a lot of our good customers as well as meet new ones at the same time,” Soley said.

Miller-Bradford and Risberg also offers Terex trucks, Tamrock, Tramac, Leeboy and Topcon equipment, with locations in Negaunee, MI; Sussex, Eau Claire, Abbotsford, De Pere, Sturtevant and Madison, WI, as well as Rockford.
