Nasser Heavy Equipment Inc. recently opened its second branch at 4320 GA Hwy. 400 in Cumming, GA, and added a new branch manager to its staff.

The new branch is situated on a 6-acre parcel. The newly constructed building houses five service bays and was designed with future expansion in mind.

This full service location includes sales, service, parts and rentals of Hyundai, Sakai and Eager Beaver trailers, as well as a large fleet of used equipment.

Company Owner Nasser, who only goes by his first name, said, “There’s a tremendous amount of construction in this area and we found that a lot of our regular customers were traveling from this vicinity to our Lawrenceville location, 50 miles away, for their equipment needs. So, after many years of planning, we built a branch closer to our customers.”

“The same atmosphere that has been a constant at the Lawrenceville location, where people feel welcome, will continue at our new branch,” said General Manager Paul Gibson. He also added that Nasser Heavy Equipment should do quite well at the second location since there are no other heavy equipment dealers located in that area.

To fill the need for a branch manager at this new facility, Nasser hired Todd Milford, a 15-year veteran in the construction equipment industry. Milford began his career while attending college as a co-op student working for Burch-Lowe as sales coordinator. Milford eventually made the construction equipment industry his full-time career and finished his college degree at night.

He went on to take the position of rental coordinator and eventually managed Burch-Lowe’s first rental store, which grew to eight rental locations, and were sold to United Rentals several years later. Milford went on to take positions as branch manager, marketing analyst and finished his career with the company as territory sales manager for Northeast Georgia.

After the closing of Burch-Lowe, Milford worked with Cowin Equipment for three years as a territory sales representative.

When asked about joining Nasser Heavy Equipment, Milford said, “I’m fortunate to be here. This is a great opportunity for me because this is my backyard. I live in the area and know this territory very well.”

“We’re lucky to have Todd working for us,” Nasser said.
