The DD130 dozer is a new addition to the current dozer lineup and is on display during ConExpo-Con/AGG 2023. The DD130 dozer will offer a productive fine-grading solution for residential and light commercial construction.

DEVELON, formerly Doosan construction equipment, entered the North American dozer market in 2022 with a smaller dozer size, the DD100, competing in the 140-hp and under category in 2022. After much anticipation from dealers and customers, the first DD100 dozers made their way to dealerships and eventually customer jobsites in Q3 2022.

"The new DD130 dozer will build on the success of the DD100 with many of the same popular features," said Moo Young Park, engineering manager at DEVELON. "The feedback from our dealers and customers after the launch of the DD100 was very positive, and we hope to continue the momentum with the larger DD130 dozer for the North American construction industry."

Productivity

The DD130 dozer delivers more horsepower, better tractive effort and superior pushing power to help operators move more material and get more in the done pile.

Productivity is driven by the dozer's 6-way variable angle pitch blade. Customers can choose from two blade options: a standard 4.6 cu. yd. blade or an optional 5.5 cu. yd. capacity blade. The blade moves freely to lift, tilt and angle, and 2-way mechanical adjustments can change the blade pitch to control how steeply the blade will dig into the ground. Operators can adjust the blade pitch from 52 to 58 degrees. Also available is a blade shake button for operators to quickly remove materials stuck to the blade.

Doosan dozers come standard with piping for an optional ripper attachment. The ripper attachment features parallel linkage that helps maintain a constant angle to the ground regardless of the height. The attachment can quickly break up hard, rugged materials prior to grading, and it can be used to install erosion control. Also available as an attachment is a towing draw bar, allowing operators to use the dozer to tow other equipment on a jobsite.

At ConExpo 2023, the new DD130 dozer will be displayed with optional forestry guarding. The option includes a front sweep and roof guard designed for forestry and logging applications. This is a preview of the accessory, which will eventually be available for the DD100 and DD130 dozers in North America.

Visibility

One of the biggest differences between the DD130 dozer and other brands is the visibility to the machine's blade. The front engine compartment offers a narrower design to make it easier for operators to see their work.

The precleaner is tucked away in the engine compartment to maximize front visibility.

The electronic cooling system was moved to the back of the dozer to further improve front visibility.

The cab's low-profile front pillars provide maximum glass area.

All-glass doors provide a full view of the working environment.

For further visibility and safety, a standard rearview camera provides operators with an additional view of the dozer's surroundings. The full-color, 8-inch Smart Touch display shows the rearview camera view. Also standard are high-illumination LED lights and four premium wiper blades.

Technology

Advanced technologies in the DD130 dozer deliver more precision to help operators meet exacting specifications. A 2D grading system option is available to make precision grading easier, even for novice operators.

Serviceability

The DD130 comes standard with an electronically operated tilting cab that provides access to internal components. Even with the cab tilted, the dozer can be started while the machine is being diagnosed or repaired.

An in-line precleaner, which comes standard, helps improve filter life and is integrated with the air cleaner. It's also more compact to fit in the smaller engine compartment. Self-cleaning and maintenance-free, the intake system can expel a variety of debris, including mud, snow, leaves, sawdust and chaff.

The dozer undercarriage is designed for convenience and cost-effective maintenance. Areas of the undercarriage that naturally experience greater wear and tear are easy to access. For example, a removable side panel provides access to an area to add grease to the undercarriage's tension system. Customers can order replacement parts through their local dealer.

A telematics system is a standard feature on the DD130 dozer, making it easy for customers to remotely monitor and maintain their machine. They can monitor the health, location and productivity of the dozer from a user-friendly mobile app and website. The customer's dealer can also see the equipment status and notify them when it's time for service to minimize machine downtime.
