New Holland, the official agricultural equipment supplier of NASCAR, is taking part in “NASCAR: An American Salute,” to recognize the honor, courage and service of our nation’s Armed Forces and their families. The American Salute program will allow for active and retired members of the U.S. military and their families (spouses, children and parents) to redeem a $750 discount on selected models of New Holland equipment.
This partnership kicks off New Holland’s special focus in the month of June to support military charities.
The program runs from June 1 through July 6, 2013, and the discount is only applicable by presenting a valid form of military ID or honorable discharge paperwork to the dealer. The qualified models of equipment includes: Boomer 30-50, Boomer Supersuite cab, T1500 Series, WORKMASTER Series (compacts & utility), PowerStar T4.75, Rustler utility vehicles, skid steer loaders, compact (mini) excavators, compact track loaders, tractor loaders, and tracker loader backhoes.
Conversely, for every model purchased under the program, New Holland also will donate $100 to its military charity, the Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House donates “comfort homes” on location near major military and Veterans Affairs medical centers so families can be close to their loved ones who are hospitalized, free of charge.
In addition, New Holland is partnering with NASCAR’s “A Million Thanks” program, and has pledged to donate $1.00 (up to $10,000) to Fisher House for every thank you note written to a member of the military on its True Blue Salute Web site.
“I think all of us know a veteran, whether it be a neighbor, friend, or even in some cases a father, child, or sibling,” said Dan Valen, New Holland’s Pro Work Tools marketing segment leader. “When you think about what these guys do, they put their lives on the line to make this country and world a safer place. It’s a way for us to say thank you.”
The NASCAR Foundation also will be auctioning off a New Holland compact tractor hood, nicknamed “Champ,” signed by the winners of 16 individual 2012 Sprint Cup races. Champ traveled with NASCAR from race to race and was signed by the winning drivers in Victory Lane. The signatures include some of the most notable names in the sport, including: Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart.
“It is fitting that this tractor hood, signed by NASCAR champions, be auctioned in support of our nation’s champions, our Armed Forces members,” said Mark Hooper, director of marketing of New Holland in North America. “New Holland is honored to join with NASCAR in demonstrating our appreciation and support of our military and their families through the An American Salute program, and contributing to the outstanding work being done on behalf of our military through the Fisher House Foundation.”
