Construction Equipment Guide

The new, track-mounted, three-deck Powerscreen Chieftain 2100 rinser is a high capacity (up to 500 tph, depending on mesh and material), fully mobile washing screen that can work independently or as part of a Powerscreen multi-machine, full-range wash plant. In addition, the unit can be converted to a dry screen.

The Chieftain 2100 rinser can produce one, two or three grades of sand.

On-board conveyors can stockpile all product grades without traditional stand-alone conveyors.

The unit features Powerscreen’s four-bearing, free floating screen box for smooth operation and long service life, according to the manufacturer.

Other standard equipment includes:

• Four hydraulic folding conveyors

• Radio-controlled tipping grid

• Integrated high capacity variable-speed belt feeder

• Hydraulic screen angle adjustment

• Screen walkway and access ladder

• Engine protection shutdown system.

• Powered by diesel hydraulic or optional electric hydraulic drive.

Other options include single or double-deck vibrating grizzly, radio controlled tracks, fifth wheel mobile, finger screens, 12 or 14-ft. (3.6 or 4.3 m) hopper, hydraulic screen tensioning, direct feed and TUV compliance.

Incoming material is conveyed to the wash box, where a high volume of water is added to form a slurry.

High-pressure spray bars on all three decks rinse the material as it passes down the screen.

Fine sand and silt are flushed through the bottom deck meshes to a dewatering unit (typically a Powerscreen Finesmaster 120 or 200). The bottom deck/catchbox is split to keep the products separate.
