South Plainfield equipment dealer JESCO hosted a family fun day for its employees on July 15, 2006, at Forest Lodge in Warren, NJ. The day was planned to honor those who have been instrumental to the continued success of the company.
“Our employees and their day-to-day efforts keep our organization moving in a forward direction,” said Jonathan Robustelli, president of JESCO. “Without the dedication of our employees we would not continue to see the successes we have enjoyed in recent years.”
Employees and their families were served a picnic-style lunch, along with fun foods such as cotton candy, hot pretzels and popcorn during the seven hour, day-long event. The food was supplemented with a variety of activities for all age groups such as remote control NASCAR racing, a water balloon toss, hoola hoop contest, candy hunt, basketball toss, ping-pong, swimming, horseshoes, Bocce ball, volleyball, baseball, ring toss, golf-challenge and much more.
“It was enjoyable to have some time out of the office to get to know the families of my coworkers,” said Emilio Pescatore, government sales representative at JESCO’s South Plainfield facility. “Particularly since we have three locations throughout the state and don’t get the opportunity to interact with our other branch personnel as often as we would like to.”
JESCO was founded in 1971 by Lou Robustelli and was originally named the Jersey Equipment Sales Company, prior to being shortened to JESCO. For 35 years, JESCO has been supplying customers in New Jersey with construction equipment and parts and service. In 1972, JESCO began a partnership with John Deere. It also carries Bomag Rollers and attachments from Geith, JRB, Wain-Roy, Woods and Indeco.
JESCO has branches located in Fairfield, South Plainfield and Lumberton.
