Nortrax Announces Organizational Changes

The company makes some moves to increase customer responsiveness.

Nortrax has announced the following functional and regional organizational changes. Michael Rugeroni has been appointed to Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chris Holmes has been appointed Vice President of Product Support. Tom Bauers has been appointed Vice President, Southeast Region and Scott McGuigan has been appointed Vice President of the Mid South Region.

President & CEO, Tim J. Murphy said, "These changes reflect our continuing efforts to extract operational efficiencies from our business. They clearly place a focus on the importance of execution at the store level as we continue to reduce our overhead costs while increasing our responsiveness to our customers."

Michael Rugeroni is now responsible for the sales and marketing business segments for the company operations in Canada and the United States. He previously served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nortrax’s Canadian operations. Mike’s vision for future growth in Nortrax clearly lies in superb products from John Deere combined with excellent customer service and support. "Mike’s 25 plus years in the construction equipment industry with positions of increasing responsibility in operations and sales make him uniquely qualified for this new assignment," commented Murphy. "His energy, enthusiasm and business acumen is highly respected by his teammates, will serve our customers and our employees extremely well."

Chris Holmes is now responsible for the parts and service segments for the entire company, including the John Deere WorkSight technology segment of product support. Previously he served as Vice President of Business Development. "Chris has accumulated almost 29 years of experience with John Deere and John Deere dealers," stated Murphy. "His career started with John Deere working in product support, sales and marketing and dealer distribution strategies. Since joining the retail side of the business, his role in dealer operations, supplier consolidation and development, as well as strategic customer support have provided him a broad prospective of our business. His ability to connect with branch teams and drive operational improvements while improving the customer experiences is a talent we are extremely fortunate to have."

Tom Bauers has been assigned leadership responsibility of the Nortrax Florida operations, with stores in Lutz, Sarasota, Riverview, Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Fort Myers and Pompano Beach. He previously had responsibility for the company’s rental and used equipment operations. He has nearly 20 years of construction equipment experience, all within the state of Florida. "I like the fact that Tom was former hockey player, as he has the skill to go into the corner and bring out the puck," reflected Murphy. "That grittiness, combined with Tom’s commitment to excellence, highly engaged leadership style and his professionalism make him well qualified for this new assignment."

Scott McGuigan joins Nortrax. In his new role heading up the Mid South Region with operations in Louisville, Richmond, London and Bowling Green, Kentucky, as well as operations in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Kingsport and Nashville, TN. Scott previously served as NPK’s Southeast Region Manager and was responsible for the business relationship between NPK and Nortrax operations in the Mid South and Southeast Regions. He has over 20 years of experience in the construction equipment industry. "We are fortunate to have Scott join our team," said Murphy. "We built a great relationship with him when he represented NPK, who continues to be one of our most important allied suppliers. His willingness to engage, inspire and succeed is key to our growth initiatives in Kentucky and Tennessee."
