Nortrax celebrated the grand opening of its new 26,000-sq.-ft. facility in Miami on Jan. 30, 2013. Officials from North America’s largest John Deere Construction and Forestry dealer stated that the new branch was built to offer an even better and safer work environment for employees and greater advantages for customers.

The new facility replaces the 40-year-old building at the original Nortrax location at 4343 N.W. 77th Ave. in Miami. The $7-million project includes eight service bays and a track press area, tripling the size of the service department. The new branch also contains a two-story rack system, which doubles the dealership’s parts storage capacity.

“The Miami grand opening is an example of the continued commitment and investment we are making on behalf of our customers and our employees. The expanded service capabilities offered by our new Miami facility, combined with the world class products manufactured by John Deere, puts us in a tremendous position to deliver industry leading services to our customers,” said CEO Tim Murphy.

The celebration included tours of the building, demonstrations by John Deere Product Marketing Managers, prizes and food. Attending the event were Nortrax President and CEO Tim Murphy, Mike Festing-Smith, Nortrax vice president and Kevin Karlix, director of sales of John Deere Construction and Forestry.

“This facility will bolster our already strong product support, sales and rental programs as we continue to provide the outstanding service customers expect,” said Eny Sanchez, branch manager.
