Nortrax Equipment Company has opened a parts store in Daytona, Fla.

According to Rick Rigsby, Nortrax’s regional parts manager of central and south Florida, “Because of traffic problems around Florida, but especially in southeast Florida, we knew we needed to get closer to the customer.”

The Daytona store is the company’s fifth parts store with locations already open in Sarasota, Tampa, Pompano and Melbourne. Plans are in the works to open additional parts stores in the future.

“Initially the Daytona store will have two people working inside. We will also be adding a field service representative in the near future who will be working out of this location,” Rigsby said.

The Daytona store will be under the direction of William Flores. Working with him will be Joe Crull.

Nortrax maintains a substantial parts inventory in its Florida operation. Access to this inventory will be available to the Daytona store overnight through Nortrax’s loop system, in which a delivery truck picks up and drops off parts at all of its five branches and five parts stores. There is no charge to the customer for this service.

The new operation is located at 1757 N. Nova Road, Suite 114. Hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
