Cashman Equipment Company, Nevada’s Caterpillar construction equipment and power solutions dealer, has announced the appointment of Dwayne Wilson as Tesmec sales representative. The company became the Nevada and Arizona Tesmec trenching equipment dealership in late 2002.
A lifetime Nevadan, Wilson has 10 years’ experience in the trenching industry. He was most recently with a Las Vegas manufacturer for the trenching and road construction industries. His primary area of responsibility will be in sales for the company’s Tesmec line, as well as coordination for Tesmec parts and service. Cashman Equipment will provide all Tesmec parts and service in both states.
“Trenching continues to be a large part of utility construction work in Las Vegas,” said Joe Voerding, pipeline sales manager for Cashman Equipment. “As the valley expands, trenching becomes more difficult because construction is moving into areas that contain much harder material.”
Voerding said that because most of the valley’s ground contains caliche, arguably the hardest rock to dig, quality trenching equipment becomes essential for successful project completion. “Tesmec trenchers are able to get through this hard rock day after day,” he said.
Tesmec trenching equipment is an industry leader in Nevada and Arizona. Specially designed for rock and concrete digging, Tesmec trenchers feature hydraulic motors and flywheel gearboxes that maintain constant digging pressure. Their automatic creep controls maintain even production and they are offered with Caterpillar engines.
