Construction Equipment Guide

The heavy-duty mechanical stump harvester by Nye Manufacturing, is specially designed for uprooting and processing trees and large stumps.

This 1,361-kilogram (3,000 lb.) tool features a 6.4-centimeter (2.5 in.) thick cutting blade and specially profiled fangs designed to hold stumps and logs while shearing. The solid cutting blade is made of quenched and tempered steel and is backed-up by a standard Nye three-position bracket, providing flexible working geometry.

The serrated fangs grip large stumps securely while the ripper teeth can rip and pry even the most stubborn stumps from the ground with authority. Long logs and stumps are split using the fangs to drive the blade through the wood lengthwise with a can-opener action. The fangs are equipped with a hardened center anvil that provides a surface on which to sever trees and branches across the grain.
