One Call Rentals, a division of Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. Inc., is adding four JLG 600S boom lifts to its rental fleet but they look like nothing else seen on a construction site…because they’re pink. Painted the official color of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and detailed with custom graphics depicting Race for the Cure participants in Pittsburgh, these lifts are designed to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
JLG Industries of McConnellsburg, Pa., partnered with One Call Rentals to produce the custom colored machines and ensure that a portion of all rental proceeds will be donated to the Pittsburgh affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The companies hope to raise more than $10,000 per year by donating 10 percent of the rental fee from these lifts.
“We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. We’re excited to raise money for breast cancer research and especially to partner with our customers to raise awareness on construction sites across Pennsylvania with these innovative lifts,” said Darrin Foulk, vice president of One Call Rentals.
The first two pink lifts made their debut at the Pittsburgh Race for the Cure at Schenley Park on Flagstaff Hill on Mother’s Day, May 10th, as they held the finish line banner for the race.
Julie Philp, event coordinator of the Pittsburgh affiliate said, “In addition to raising awareness and donations for our cause, the lifts will be a special addition to the race.”
