Effective March 31, 2018, Mark Woody – VP Sales and Marketing Americas and president of Palfinger Inc. – will be retiring after 25 years of service. Woody joined Palfinger Inc. in 1993, when the Niagara Falls facility held approximately 11 employees.

Today, there are more than 1,000 employees across North America, including a core group that Woody has mentored since the beginning. With his strategic thinking, his great network, commitment and leadership style, Woody made substantial contributions to the success of Palfinger during the last 25 years, including strengthening the market position and the local value creation within the Americas. He also had significant influence within the work truck industry, serving on the NTEA Board of Trustees and also as the NTEA's 50th president from 2014-2015.

Woody has pursued all of these challenges with great dedication, a very high level of commitment and persistence. We thank him for his exceptional work over his many years of service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

Tim Arkilander will be appointed the company's new president. As executive VP Sales and Business Development since 2015, Tim's customer-focused outlook, industry knowledge and strong business background brings more than 30 years of experience into this leadership role.

“My time with Palfinger has been some of the most rewarding of my career,” said Woody, “and I certainly believe that the future of the company is in excellent hands as we continue to offer the best value solutions to our customers with Tim as my successor.”
