Complemented by extensive service offerings, machine uptime can be further optimized and productivity maximized. Since early 2025, PALFINGER has been equipping many of its devices as standard with a telematics module. This enables immediate data transfer to PALFINGER CONNECTED, making it easier for customers to get started with digital applications, according to PALFINGER. By 2030, the company aims to double its service revenue to €700 million and will place its service offerings at the center of its trade fair stand at bauma 2025.
"We not only offer our customers the best technologies, but also help them operate their equipment as efficiently as possible to achieve maximum uptime and optimum performance," said Gerhard Sturm, senior vice president global sales and service of PALFINGER. "This approach allows us to maintain the efficiency of our solutions throughout their entire lifecycle and guarantee long-term success. That's why we view service holistically — from original spare parts and customer-focused service contracts to our digital features. Together with our strong partner network, we ensure that our customers worldwide can rely on the highest levels of performance, availability and efficiency."
With its services, PALFINGER optimizes operating processes, reduces downtime and increases safety standards as well as the lifetime of the equipment. This is why PALFINGER has a strong service focus and wants to increase revenue in this area from the current €340 million to €700 million by 2030, according to the company.
PALFINGER's motto at bauma 2025 is "Go for Solution P." This underlines the company's commitment to supporting customers with their challenges using custom-built solutions. For the first time, the service offering is taking center stage at the trade fair, said PALFINGER.
At bauma 2025, PALFINGER is presenting a complete package of products, digital solutions and extensive services. From April 7 to 13, 2025, visitors to bauma in Munich can experience first-hand how CONNECTED and the VR1 training simulator work in practice. CONNECTED lets them experience the networked future of fleet management live — from accessing specific machine data to proactive service options and the latest functions and features based on real-time data. The VR1 training simulator provides an immersive training experience that uses cutting-edge virtual reality technology to train operators in realistic conditions so they can improve their skills safely, efficiently and regardless of the weather or physical machine, according to the company.
In the run-up to bauma 2025, PALFINGER launches the online communication campaign PALFINGER Services: No Surprises, which focuses on the digital services that ensure smooth operations and maximum uptime.
Getting started with digital services should be as easy as possible for customers. That's why, beginning in 2025, PALFINGER will equip a wide range of its machines as standard with a telematics module and data transmission capabilities. PALFINGER CONNECTED provides a central platform for data-based decision-making. With CONNECTED as a standard feature, customers can access their operating data as soon as they register — at no additional cost. Users benefit from customized dashboards, maintenance plans, and detailed operational information that facilitate efficient fleet management and machine deployment, according to the company.
CONNECTED plus+ is an optional upgrade that enables real-time data transfer. Operators can keep an eye on the current machine status at all times, while fleet managers and service partners access a shared database. The system integrates seamlessly with existing fleet management systems and can be used as a standalone package or as part of a service contract, according to PALDESK.
The central PALDESK database provides customers with all key information regarding their products and services around the clock. Once registered, users receive free access to documentation organized by machinery serial numbers, which includes the complete product history, service status, and machine configuration. In addition, current offers and more detailed product information are available. PALDIAG CMI is PALFINGER's diagnostics software for customers, offering extensive insight into key parameters of their PALFINGER products, such as operating data and maintenance intervals, according to the company.
According to the company, PALFINGER service contracts ensure maximum uptime with predictable costs. Customers can choose from various service packages, which include regular inspections, professional maintenance, and the use of original spare parts and lubricants. Thanks to its global logistics network, PALFINGER ensures a rapid supply of spare parts and minimizes unexpected downtime, enabling companies to benefit from a consistently high level of fleet reliability.
High-quality service requires speed and expertise, which is exactly what PALFINGER delivers through its worldwide, comprehensive sales and service network, said the company. Together with approved service partners, the company ensures that customers receive efficient, reliable, and convenient solutions every time. Full certification ensures that each service partner meets the highest quality standards and provides the best possible service for customers.
