Palmer Johnson Power Systems recently announced the upcoming retirement of Los Angeles service manager Geoff Lord, effective December 31, 2013.

After leaving the army as a platoon sergeant in 1968 with both a Bronze Star and Purple Heart, Lord began his career selling diesel engines. Lord’s knowledge and experience from his 45 year career in the industrial off-highway industry have been invaluable to Palmer Johnson since he joined the company in 2007 and will be missed.

As Lord’s departure quickly approaches, service technician Alex Kiamco has been promoted to service manager, effective January 1, 2014.

Kiamco came to Palmer Johnson in 2006 with experience in mechanical engineering. Since then, he has attended factory training with Twin Disc, John Deere Power Systems, Dana Spicer, JLG and TDI. Kiamco’s training and experience make him an excellent replacement for Lord and his hands-on experience will be a valuable asset to the service department, according to the company.

Palmer Johnson Power Systems specializes in servicing and supplying components for heavy-duty, off highway transmissions and axles. Palmer Johnson is the authorized distributor and service center for leading manufacturers including Twin Disc, Carraro, Funk, AxleTech, Eaton Airflex, Durst Pump Drives, Wichita Clutch, Dana Spicer Off-Highway and more.

The company operates 10 sales/service branches across North America with more than 50 factory-trained technicians. Palmer Johnson also operates volume OEM transmission and axle remanufacturing programs out of the company’s Madison, Wis., headquarters.
