Giles & Ransome, a Bensalem, PA-based Caterpillar dealer, recently announced two promotions.

John Cerkvenik has been promoted to the position of general manager, parts operations and product support. In this position, Cerkvenik will be responsible for managing all aspects of Giles & Ransome’s parts and product support segments of the business.

Prior to joining Giles & Ransome, Cerkvenik worked overseas for Caterpillar Inc. for seven years as a product support sales representative before becoming general parts and service manager for a newly formed Caterpillar dealer in Egypt, where he served for five years. Cerkvenik joined Giles & Ransome in 1982 and has held several positions, including branch manager and general parts and service manager.

Brent Losey has been promoted to the position of general manager, service operations and development. In this newly-created position, Losey will be responsible for the service operations of Giles & Ransome’s construction division as well as the service development team that he previously created and managed.

Joining Giles & Ransome Inc. in July 2000 as general manager operations development, Losey quickly assembled a team dedicated to process improvement and service support and its success has led to the formation of his new position.

Prior to working for Giles & Ransome Inc., Losey was a product support representative of Caterpillar Inc. for six years.
