Paving Equipment Takes Center Stage at Rocky Mountain Asphalt Conference

Penny Hughes, trade association coordinator of Purple Wave Auctions, represented the company at RMACES.

(L-R): The city of Aurora, Colorado’s Bill Bofenkamp and Neil Domer were on hand to learn about new paving technology. Pete Kulp of LeeBoy was available in the McDonald Equipment booth to answer questions about the LeeBoy 8520 asphalt paver.

Power Motive’s Eric Smallwood (L) and Roadtec’s Mark Smith fielded questions about Roadtec’s paving equipment lineup. Power Motive represents Roadtec in Colorado.

Bomag compactors were prominent in the Power Equipment Company Booth. (L-R): Bill Stalzer of Bomag and Power Equipment’s Doug Corley and Patrick Malfitano reported brisk traffic and lots of interest in the compaction line.

Long lines awaited attendees looking for a chance to win the Skeeball Challenge at the Power Motive Co. booth.

The Rocky Mountain Asphalt Conference and Equipment Show (RMACES) was held Feb. 21-23 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, near Denver International Airport.

This year was the 45th for the event, which brings together contractors, suppliers, governmental agency representatives and consultants from the Rocky Mountain Region.
