PhilConex 2001, scheduled for February 20th and 21st, 2001 at the Fort Washington Expo Center, will offer exhibitors and visitors a chance to interact with each other well beyond the two days of the show. Edwin M. McKeon, president of Construction Equipment Guide’s tradeshow division, CEG Productions, announced that this year’s show will feature Expo Tour, an interactive online event designed to extend the impact of the show from just two days to four months.

“Expo Tour is a powerful tool that will enable attendees to plan and manage their time at the show, while giving exhibitors increased exposure and the opportunity to set up meetings with attendees well in advance of the show,” said McKeon.

A floor plan of the show will be displayed on Construction Equipment Guide’s Web site (www.ConstructionEquipmentGuide.com) 30 days prior to the event. Visitors can click on a booth for detailed information on a particular exhibitor. They will have the ability to navigate the floor plan or search the exhibitor list in a variety of ways to find exhibitors they’re interested in seeing.

A link to the exhibitor’s Web site will allow visitors to contact a particular exhibitor for product information, or to set up a meeting at the show.

According to McKeon, Expo Tour is a win-win situation for everyone. “Exhibitors benefit from increased visibility and selling opportunities,” he said, “while enabling those that can’t make it to the show to visit exhibitors over the Web. For those who do attend, Expo Tour saves them time and helps them be organized and efficient when they arrive.”

Expo Tour will be online one months prior and two months after the show.
