Early in 2006, CEG Productions, the trade show division of Construction Equipment Guide (CEG), will again anchor each side of Pennsylvania with trade shows in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
In the Steel City on Feb. 7 and 8, 2006, our second annual Pittsburgh Construction Expo will be held at the Pittsburgh ExpoMart, in Monroeville, PA, just five minutes from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and just 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Pittsburgh.
The ExpoMart boasts approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of indoor exhibit space, plus an enclosed 30,000-sq.-ft. parking garage, which will accommodate several additional exhibits. The garage is sheltered and will be heated for the event. All the latest models of equipment will be showcased, along with trucks and trailers, accessories, parts, supplies and services.
New to the Pittsburgh show next February will be several Pennsylvania One Call seminars, which will be held throughout the two-day show.
Topics include:
• Pre-Design and Pre-Construction Meetings
• Reduce Your Risk —Understanding Locating
• Before Notifying — Prepare!
• How to Make the Process of Notifying Easier
• Keeping It Real With OSHA
• What Should You Do in an Emergency
Exhibit space sales have been brisk for the Pittsburgh show. At press time, only 10 percent of exhibit space remains.
Philadelphia Construction Expo
On March 7 and 8, 2006, the 7th Annual Philadelphia Construction Expo will be held at the Fort Washington Expo Center. The show, also called “The Greatest Show in Construction, Public Works & Landscaping,” will again feature a wide array of equipment dealers and manufacturers,
During the Philly show, visitors will again be able to show off their backhoe operating excellence (and win some serious cash) in a backhoe rodeo. A total of $5,000 in cash will be up for grabs.
Asphalt Care Equipment, of Bensalem and Doylestown, PA, will again have a significant presence at the Fort Washington Expo Center with an expanded exhibit in the Washington Room, an area adjacent to the main exhibit hall. Asphalt Care Equipment has been in business for 25 years. The company opened its Doylestown branch in 2002 and according to David Fackler, who prior to founding his company worked as paving contractor for 20 years, he has plans for expansion in the near future.
The company has earned Ingersoll-Rand’s No. 1 dealer in America award in 2003 for its line of equipment, which includes asphalt pavers and compaction rollers and more.
